Q: What should I wear for my photo shoot?

A: Each individual is different and what you want to wear for you photo shoot is entirely up to you. However, it is recommended to not wear clothing with writing, loud prints or loud graphics on them. It tends to be distracting and we want the emphasis of the photograph to be on you.

If you are doing a session with other individuals it is a good idea to coordinate your outfits with each other to add a nice flow to the photographs and to again, make sure the emphasis is on the individuals in the photos. Neutral colors are recommended, but these rules can be broken. These are your photos and you should do what you feel comfortable with.

Q: Should I bring anything to the photo shoot?

A: Yes! Bring anything that you think might add to the photos. Please feel free to bring any props or outfits that would be good for our shoot. This could include stuffed animals, tutus for newborn shoots, bow ties, cute hats, or anything else that you can think of depending on the type of shoot that we are doing.

Another great thing to bring is snacks or drinks, especially while we are doing a shoot with a child. We want to make the little ones feel as comfortable as possible at our shoot.

Q: Should I bring any make up to the shoot?

A: Yes! It is a good idea to bring powder for touch ups during our shoot.

Q: How long will it take to receive my photos?

A: For portrait sessions you will receive your photos in 2 to 4 weeks. For wedding photographs the turn around time is 4 to 6 weeks. Each photo session is edited in the order of the date the session was held.

Q: What if it rains and we are scheduled for an outdoor shoot?

A: This doesn’t happen very often, but it’s definitely a possibility. In the event of rain we can reschedule for a date as soon as we can to our original date. I am very flexible with time and we can find a new time and date that will accommodate your schedule.

Q: Is it possible to order additional proof albums?

A: Definitely! If you would like to order any additional proof albums just let me know and we can go over pricing.

Q: Can we do multiple locations?

A: Definitely! I like to switch up the backgrounds so we create different looking photos, like they say, variety is a spice of life! Depending on the amount of time that we have we may pick a location that has many great locations within walking distance of each other, or we may even drive to a new location. This is something that we can discuss while we are talking about our location and plans for the shoot.

Q: I am interested in hiring you to shoot our wedding, how does this work?

A: We can schedule a time to meet up, get to know each other, and talk about your wedding needs. I can address any questions that you might have at this time.

Q: I definitely want to hire you for our wedding, how does this work?

A: Yay, I’m excited! We can schedule a time to meet up for our consultation and this will be the time to discuss your plans for the day and come up with a schedule for your photographs. This is a good time to learn more about each other and we can discuss any specific shots wanted, locations, and what your main goal of the photographs will be, as in more candids, more formal shots, or both.

A deposit of half of the wedding amount is given at this time, and the other half can be given on the wedding date. If you would like to do the full amount at the time of our consultation that is fine, too.
